Rosenblum Cellars, 10 Clay Street, Oakland

We entertain you with swinging jazz standards, Brazilian gems and modern compositions.

Pianist Ben Stolorow, a Hertz Traveling Fellow studied in New York with pianists Stanley Cowell, James Williams and Fred Hersch. One can hear his lyrical sensitivity influenced by Bach and Bill Evans to Thelonious Monk and McCoy Tyner. He has performed at Yoshi’s, The Jazzschool, and the Kuumbwa Jazz Center, at the Healdsburg and SF Jazz Festivals, and has also toured and performed throughout Japan. Ben is also a faculty member of the California Jazz Conservatory.

Bassist Ron Belcher travels the world from France to Japan and throughout the United States bringing his rhythmically buoyant, emotionally uplifting style. Performing or recording with such international stars as Branford Marsalis, Regina Carter, Rodney Franklin, John Handy, and Pete Escovedo, and a “who’s who” of the San Francisco jazz scene, Ron is one of northern California’s first-call jazz bassists.
